Recycling Kombucha Bottles

Ever since I started working from home, I’ve been stocking my fridge with Healthade’s Kombucha. Every time I finish a bottle, however, I hated the thought of just tossing it. I just felt like I could come up with another use for them so they wouldn’t go to waste. A few of my friends have since asked me what I do with them and how, so figure I’d post here to share with all of you as well!

Step 1 - Enjoy your Healthade Kombucha (or any other bottle you may have)

Step 2 - Once finished, peel the sticker off of the bottle

Step 3 - Use Goo Gone to remove remaining adhesive markings on the bottle. Wash and air dry the bottle.

Step 4 - Pour in cleaning agent of choice. I’ve transferred anything from glass cleaners, disinfecting solutions to bathroom cleaners into these bottles.

Step 5 - Attach spray head to the bottle. I purchased the AMORIX trigger spray heads from Amazon and they fit perfectly onto the Healthade bottles. If you’re using a different type of bottle, I’d recommend researching to make sure that the trigger spray head will fit the bottle you’re working with.

Step 6 - Label your bottles with a chalk marker so you know what is what! I like using this Sharpie water-based pen but you can use basically any water-based one you have or can find. That way, you can erase and re-write depending on what you refill the bottle with.

Once you’ve transferred your cleaning agents into the bottle, you’ll now have a set of uniform-looking cleaning supplies! If you’re anything like me, you probably love organizing. This will help make your under-the-sink cabinets in the bathroom and/or kitchen look put together while saving the planet at the same time! Enjoy and you’re welcome.
