Latest Nighttime Skincare Routine
Similarly to my morning skincare routine, I try to cater the products I use to how my skin is fairing to the weather and my environment at the moment.
Step 1 | Cleanse
I start off by making sure my skin is clean by using the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Daily Foaming Wash. I love cleansers that do not strip or dry out my skin and this is a great one that foams and builds a really nice lather before you wash it off.
Step 2 | Exfoliate
At night time, I like to add a toner that also exfoliates to keep my skin feeling extra clear and radiant. I love The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid Toning Solution. I’ll add this into my regimen every other night. Since it’s a chemical exfoliant, I want to make sure my skin gets a break in between.
Step 3 | Treatment
Similar to my morning skincare routine, I like to add the Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen as it provides an extra plumpness to my skin. Following that, I’ve been using the Biossance Squalane + Phyto Retinol Serum to help with fine lines and wrinkles. It’s a great, gentle alternative to retinol if you have sensitive skin.
Step 4 | Moisturizer (Face)
Next up is moisturizer. I tend to like to try different moisturizers to see how my skin will react but lately I’ve been really liking the Tatcha Water Cream Moisturizer. It’s super light and absorbs into my skin fairly quickly. If you have oily or combination skin, this may be a good option for you.
Step 5 | Moisturizer (Lip)
Last but not least, I make sure to put on Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask before I go to bed. I used to always forget about my lips but once I started to take care of them, especially after I started using this product, I realized what a difference it really makes. With the dry air and heater constantly running, this product is a lifesaver! Just slap a little of this stuff on your lips and you’ll wake up with the most supple lips the next morning.
I will throw in overnight masks here and there but this is the base of my nighttime skincare routine. Depending on the needs of my skin at the moment, I will modify accordingly. This routine has worked out so far for me and has definitely helped me wake up to more hydrated skin.
